From Tuesday 25 November to Wednesday 10 December, people across the world will take part in the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence. It is a global campaign that calls for an end to violence and abuse in all its forms. The start and end dates are chosen to coincide with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women (25 November) and Human Rights Day (10 December). You can find out more here.
As part of the 16 Days of Activism, Nottingham City Safeguarding Adults Board will be supporting the Juno Women’s Aid’s Turn Nottingham Orange campaign, that aims to raise awareness of domestic abuse and show solidarity with survivors by encouraging individuals, organisations and landmarks across Nottingham to turn orange – the international colour of hope and optimism.
