Strategic Plans
The Board follows a 3-year Strategic Plan which sets out the key priorities for the Board to focus on. The current Strategic Plan runs from 2025-2028 and has seen the number of key priorities increase from three to six.
In addition to the full 2025-2028 Strategic Plan document below, we have added a short version which agencies may find useful to include within their own annual reports and presentations.
Annual Business Plans
Every year, the Board follow an annual business plan which set out aims and objectives for the financial year. The content for the annual business plan is developed at an annual Board Development Day held in January every year. In this multi-agency in-person session, partner agencies consider a wide range of evidence and intelligence including Safeguarding Adults Reviews, audits, data, the annual Partner Assurance Tool together with direct feedback from agencies about what issues are impacting both the people they support and the agency as a whole.
Although the business plan is set annually, it is recognised that many of the actions will take more than a year to achieve.
Communications and Engagement Strategy
The Nottingham City Safeguarding Adults Board Communications and Engagement Strategy runs from 2024-2027. The objectives set out within the plan and monitored by the Training, Learning and Improvement Subgroup, as well as the newly formed joint Communications and Engagement Subgroup with Nottinghamshire County Safeguarding Adults Board. This strategy was updated in 2025 to include the new 2025-2028 Strategic Plan.
